I've owned this car for about 6 years now and it is doing great. Getting great mileage. I am currently working on a car computer.  I have everything all set but I want to do more cosmetic touches to it before I permanently connnect it to my car.

2 Phoenix Gold Elite 6 comp (front)
2 Phoenix Gold Elite 6 (woofer only) (rear) Not wired. I stole the power from the amp and bridged the fronts.
1 SVR 75 battery

I just added a RF amp for the subs. They don't seem any louder I'm wondering if its because the box may be too small. I would expect to hear a difference going between 200W and 1000W but I don't.

This is how my installer installed the AMP. Note: It is just sitting there not bolted down.

I've added a carputer.  For more info see www.where-does-this-wire-go.com/w/my-carputer/

I'm now going on 6 years with this car now. So far the car is holding up okay. I'm on my third 12V battery. My mileage is still above epa (about 51mpg per tank.)

Nice car. I have the same car like yours. Forget about those hybrid haters. I felt pity on them hurting their pockets over fuel pump esp gas prices nowadays are sky high! Check out mine. Chiao

I recently purchased a 2005 Honda Civic Hybrid and I want to install a new audio system. I have not decided on the equipment yet, but I am leaning towards the power range you have selected, which brings me to my question for you. What difficulties have you experienced with this power consumption. Has it caused loss of fuel economy, or large drops in the battery voltage. Or worse yet, has it caused any damage to the battery of the DC/DC converter. My understanding is that the DC/DC converter is only rated to 45 amps. Your system may exceed this and may be a risk for thermal overload or damage. Overwise, maybe the 144V Hybrid battery pack may be excessively discharged. Have you seen any of these problems? I really want to know before I set my new system up. Thanks

I'd like to help but you didn't leave any e-mail address or anything ;) But here is a quick answer. Our car is exactly like the regular civic. There is no issue treating it as such with any car audio/computer wiring. You may want to add a second battery in the trunk if you go wild though. The stock one under the hood is a very tiny :) Most shops can do custom fabrication for screens. I like Custom car audio and alarm in mount prospect. I never had them do any custom work though.

Hi tom, nice job. It took me a long time to find some one with a golden 2003 Honda Civic Hybrid like mine!!. I am impressed by your work and I wanted to know a few things. I was looking for some guide for the details on the electric system. I wanted to start by installing a PC in the drunk and the a touch screen in the front where the cup holder is. and later a sound system. Need to know how easy ( safe) was it to make the connections. here are some virgin pictures of my car http://www.flickr.com/photos/civichybrid .. Hi i know you are in chicago too, was wondering if you know anyone who does custom screen holder (basically incar fabrication job). I am new here. your help will be appreciated.
