Just bought this STOCK 1972. Drove it from Eugene Oregon to Los Angeles. It did'nt give me one problem on the way to L.A on the Interstate 5. The six cylinder made it over those mountains with out any problem. I have been checking out the junk yards for an 8 cylinder engine. I'll put up pics as soon as I get to work on the engine. But the six cylinder did so well I'll leave it in for now. JEGS has an Dual-Port intake for the 6-cylinder and Holley has a carb for the intake. And autokrafters.com has Clifford exhaust headers that will give you dual exhaust and all this comes in under $1000
I found that autokrafters.com has plenty of parts for our Mavericks. A catlog cost $5. And maverickman.com is a good site too.
More to come....
P.S. CHECK OUT MY 1956 BUICK I'VE BEEN WORKING ON***

HI. I VE GOT A 73 COMET WITH A 250.YOUR DURASPARK SYSTEM LOOKS INTERESTING,DID YOU HAVE TO REMOVE THE ENTIRE DISTRIBUTOR AND COIL FROM THE FAIRMONT AND I NOTICE A SILVER BOX ALSO. ARE YOU GOING TO RUN A DUAL EXHAUST ON YOUR HEADERS. I SEEN PHOTOS OF 72 MAVERICK AND THEY DO HAVE A BLACK PLASTIC OPEN GLOVEBOX ACROSS THE ENTIRE DASH.GOOD LUCK
