Update June 8, 2004. For those of you who are diehard fans of my site, I wanted to let you know I am almost done with my 2056 engine rebuild. After a few hitches, it looks like I have all the parts and it will probably go together after school is out (next thursday, after finals).

I got my 914 Feb. 8, 2004 after months of scouring want ads. I found a (nearly) rust free 2.0 I picked up for a reasonable price. The engine needed work, which is good because I wanted to do a full rebuild. I will take some pics soon of the project under completion.

Here are some planned specs:

Engine:
96mm KB Hypereuctecic pistons w/ 71mm stroke
Hastings rings
Split duration camshaft
Heads rebuilt by RimCO
Dual Weber 40 IDF carbs with CB Performance manifolds and linkage (whoop)
Mallory Unilite distributor
Bosch spark plug wires and spark plugs
Case alignbored and galley plugs drilled and tapped
Burch single tip exhaust

33% Weltmeister shortened shifter
911 6-spring clutch
12 lb flywheel

911 5-lug front suspension with 'M' calipers
Rear hubs drilled out for 5 lug
5 lug Fuch wheels
Koni Yellow struts
Springs to lower and stiffen
205/50VR15 Falken Azenis tyres

The color: Dark Seal Grey. Its a new Porsche color used on 911s and boxsters. Looks sexy! Paint will probably come towards the end of the summer.

EST numbers:
130 HP @ 4500 RPM
135 ft/lb torque
0-60 6.7 sec
Skid pad: 1.0 g

Good start, Take it apart carefully and get the car done right! It will be great again. Check out my project, It was a ground up, and spent a lot of time sorting out...getting close to completion!
