Hey everybody. This is Nate, i go to Edwardsville High School and this is my Durango.

1972mach105's 1998 Dodge Durango

piece of shit.

1972mach105's 1998 Dodge Durango

I really reccomend not buying from dodge because their quality of building vehicles is next to nothing. they may have the "HEMI" and the standard V8 in most of their trucks, but they sure arent durable to last for years.

its obvious, go to http://www.carsurvey.org/modelyear_Dodge_Durango_1998.html dodge does not make the best products at all. up until 96, their stuff was great. but with the 97 intro to the dakota and the 98 intro to the durango, its been awful. a chevy V8 gets as good of gas mileage as a Dodge 3.9 V6. and you all are like "you are probably abusing it". WRONG. i babied that thing so well. I waxed it every other month, changed all the fluids that needed it, rotated tires, etc. Anybody willing to buy a durango from 98-03, i truly reccommend not buying it. Id go for a jeep grand cherokee, or an import SUV is better than a durango such as a nissan pathfinder(ugh i hate imports)

ive had many problems with dodge. their customer service sucks, took me 3 weeks for a replacement transmission to be put in, new brakes at 24,000 miles when my mom had it, and then again at 57,000 miles again when i bought it from her. This thing had excessive tire wear, the front toe in was screwed up, it would periodically lose traction in the rain causing me to spin out, brakes would lock up at 30 mph causing me to nearly hit somebody, differental seals break for no reason. I may of driven fast a couple of times, but i dont trust this vehicle. Its heavy, the gas mileage sucks, every time i pass somebody in the interstate i lose a bunch of gas. and i periodically went off road every 3 weeks and used 4WD at the proper times. I did not abuse this at ALL and i loved this vehicle but i would hate to say that this is the worst vehicle to have. When you know people with durangos with the same problem, then there ya go. my neighbors have all of the same problem with their durango and they cant stand that thing.
