  20305's 1995 Toyota Tacoma

                                                                  20305's 1995 Toyota Tacoma

THE NEW STUFF

now its a taco tr uggy, d60s, detroit front, lock rear, disc brakes all around, CO's on the front, air shocks rear, i definately need bigger tires, looks too tall as it sits now but its not really that tall.
I'm getting a 350 within the next couple of weeks witch i'm planning on matting to a 435 and 205, that should give me enough power and low end to turn bigger meats when i get em.

THIS IS THE OLD STUFF

d44 front welded, 8" rear ARB
36" IROKs, LCE headers, In cab intake, 5.38 gears front and 5.29's rear(believe it it works with no problems), bilstein 5150 shocks front and ranchos rs9000x rear.
no bed, exo-cage, OBA, Hydro-Assist, Superior Chromolly shafts, FROR crossmember, etc..

You can see here the transformation of my taco, i tried to show you what it takes to do an axle swap, i got tons of pics so if you need anything or need help just email me and i'll be glad to help out. I don't have pics of my axle, but i had to rotated my knuckles 14*, i think that was the bigest pain in the ass out of the whole swap. also i don't have pics of the new crossmember that i got, i didn't want to mess around with the stock one so i just bought one from FROR (front range offroad).

this pic is when i was putting everything back together and tag welding to double check, If you noticed i still had the 3" bl, which i cut down to 1".

weld everyhting together, crossmember, spring hangers, make your shackles etc.

here are my leaf springs, i'm using waggys 7 leaf pack.

you will need new shocks, i ordered a set of bilstein 5150 with the piggy back 14" of travel, they had just came out to the market so i decided to try them, plus for $99 bucks each is not that bad. (they work great btw.)
Also you will need new brake lines.

had to replaced the factory oil pan and sump, pick up tube and dip stick for t100 model

this here is the toy flange, this is what you need to make your stock front d-shaft work with the d44. you can get it with jessy at highangle for like $160, plus you need to make your d-shaft longer so send the whole thing to him right away.

had to find a new ps box, lucky for me the guy i got my axle from was going to a different set up so he sold me the axle rebuilded, geared, with heavy dutty steering, and ps box w/ pitman arm.

had to make my own steering shaft...

here you can see the frame all nice smooth and clean, no signs of ifs once was here!

IFS coming down all in 1 piece...

i had to do a lot of grinding and cutting after the torching. it sucked but its all well worth it!

torched the whole thing down in one piece, that is the whole idea!

Whats up Oz, are you going to the Indy 4x4 Jamboree in Sept? I'm heading up there to meet a few people from TTW, it's gonna be fun! What happened to all the pics of your truck on here?
