The Cutlass is dead at the moment. That's right, I think I blew the engine. I'm pretty sure my water pump went out and I threw a rod, but I haven't had a chance to start tearing it apart yet. Don't worry, I'm not getting rid of it. As soon as I figure out what is wrong for sure I'm going to start working on fixing it. If I do have to get a new engine, I'm going to find a decent LQ1 and do some work to it while it's still out of the car before dropping it back in to hopefully gain a few more of the horses it was really meant to have. For now, I'm picking up an '86 s-10 blazer that will get me from place to place while I save up the money for when I have time for the Cutlass. For now, you'll have to enjoy her beauty in the pictures I have, and once I start work on tear down I'll be sure to get pictures of that.
These pictures are the most recent I have, from about a month ago. She's pretty, and was a lot faster when these were taken.
UPDATE 7-09-05
Some from a month or so earlier this summer

UPDATE: 04-19-05
The car has been great. Added the FFP dogbone, K&N air filter, new plugs, wires, visor strip redone finally, in the process of removing the bump strips from the sides. New top this summer, as well as hopefully suspension and exhaust.
Here's a picture of the passenger side with the bump strip removed (drivers side is coming off tomorrow, it got dark too quick to do that one too tonight)
UPDATE: 01-16-05
Timing belt successfully replaced and everything running well. She's now being stored for the remainder of winter. I absolutely cannot wait til I can pull her out of my driveway again!
No belts and not timed!
"My" basket of parts, complete with plugs, wires, and all sorts of other goodies that cost me $175 I really didn't have!
Engine shot from fall before the belt pooped out
Another garage shot from the belt project
