Hello and welcome to my page. When I started my car audio obsession, i was a pretty simple guy. First settling for 1 10, maybe 2. I thought I needed space for things in my trunk

 

As I got older, I figured the trunk could be sacrificed and started experimenting with some big subs, and a little bit of showmanship

 

 

 

unfortunately, I wasn't the cleanest with my installs, especially with wiring

but I got better at it with help from friends

Then I really got the hang of clean, simple show installs

   Ok so I'm not good at SPL, maybe its the car or its just me.  I'm gonna give it one last try though.  The stuff is coming in, will update as it arrives.

7/30 - Deck arrived today along with the first component amp.  I think I will need another.  New distro arrived too!  The deck sounds amazing, I dunno what Bongiovi Acoustics did, but it worked.

8/3 - My comps and sub arrived today.  2 sets of lanzar vx6c comps and 1 15" atomic ap/spl dual 1ohm sub.  Threw the comp sets in real quick to see how they sound, they do pretty well with the amp and HU.  The sub needs a box, time to start building hopefully tomorrow.

8/4 - monoblock came in!  concept cd-3910

8/12 - Built the sub box and baffles, but the box was too long for what I originally planned so I'm going in a new direction.  Sub will still be walled off facing the cabin, just pushed to the trunk lid instead of as far in as possible.  Going out of town so this'll sit for a while.  Sub box is in though as well as the amps.  Spraypaint around the box is so no wood will show through after the baffle is made.

 

8/22 - Back from vacation, picked up a batt while out of town for a steal of a deal.  Will be going in as soon as I finish the false floor.  100Ah of C&D technologies power.  May need another, but we'll see how this one does for now.

 

 

8/26 - cut out the new floor and big baffles.  they fit, now I need to carpet them and work on the rest of the wall parts.  gotta loom the wire as well.  still so much to do

 

8/29 - Spray painted the baffles since I'm so lazy.  will need another coat.  put in the battery and a relay because the sub amp kept cutting out.  Will get metered tomorrow.  Still have more sealing off to do.

8/31 - Got metered yesterday at a USACI show, did better than I expected considering I haven't totally sealed off the trunk yet.  145.9db in a trunk, yay I suppose

 

9/20 - so about 2 weeks ago while doing some tones I noticed a significant drop in my db's.  I didn't know what was wrong at first, but figured it out today after taking my sub out.   The spiders on the sub came unglued :/.  Its too bad, I was really starting to get loud.  CA glue to the rescue.

9/28 - Fixed the sub!  glued the spider back down.  just like new.  Alas I don't need all this might in the cold.

 

 

10/9 - Still haven't put a substage in since its getting cold, but I'm gonna do something with this soon.  double-slot ported box I'm thinking

 

 

 

 

12/10 - beening laying back trying not to sell my stuff.  very hard to do.  Xmas did come early for me though.  a nice 12" custom built tc-7 by PSI!!!!

 

12/12 - Okay i found an amp to match with my new toy, audiopipe ap15001d.  Put them in, the sub is in a prototype box I'm working on.  2.5cu.ft. tuned to 32Hz with a 6" PSP flared port coming off the side.  Very high output for a single 12 system.  Also switched the concept ca-502 for a Rockford punch 40dsm for the time being because of its size.
