I have started a Nissan club in Arkansas called Nissan Four Wheelers of Arkansas. We have had our first run and are currently planning our second one for October '09. If you are interested you can check out our section at nissanoffroad.net!
Just lifted the truck, redid the steering, and got some brake upgrades. Plus now ridding on 33's!
Here is before the lift:
After:
3" SL with 3 leaf Add-A-Leafs and Rancho 9000xl adjustable shocks with yellow shock boots and yellow powdercoated Sway-A-Way torsion bars, 2" AC body lift, AC lift liners (yet to be installed), braided stainless steel break lines, Grassroots 4x4 centerlink, AC idler arm brace and heavy duty tie rods, rancho steering stabilizer, sitting on 285/75R16 Cooper Discoverer STT's. I will add some action pics when I get some and more detail of everything.
Took a ton of work but so far it is worth it:
Old mods and pics!!
First up rims and tires. I got Procomp 8089 16x8 rims with 255/70R16 Cooper Discoverer STT tires.
Next, the system. I got a Panasonic head unit, 4 kicker 2 way 6 1/2 speakers, kicker R13 tweeters, and two kicker compvr 8" subs with a 350.2 kicker amp. The truck can really scream with a good amount of bass to even it all out. The box was custom built by my best Friend Cody Broadway who died in a car wreck about a year ago. RIP Cody...you were always loved and will always be missed!
Another interior mod is my new off road "Lite". Its a 3D LED Maglite mounted to the center console.
I have 15% tent all the way around with a 5% brow. I have removed the running boards, and mud flaps, choped the tips off the exhaust, put in an optima yellow top, installed a modified and updated tow hook up front from a 88 GMC 4x4, and I am about to do performance plugs, wires, and a full fluid swap front to back with Royal Purple (already run the motor oil). I will also be adding some off road lights, doing some powder coating, and a few other things over the winter so look out for those. Here is a few pics of how the truck sits now...minus the tailpipes. The fourth pic is the "truck bed" modification I was talking about. That is Shade, Ashley (my girlfriend) and my 2 year old black lab.
I got a single/dual Flowmaster 40 series muffler put on with custom pipes out to chrome cannons (now cut off with turn downs). It sounds awesome! It is extremely loud for a v6, and it has a very deep tone. With the turn downs its so deep it shakes the interior. I would recommend this setup on any frontier.
Old pics....
