One of my recent upgrades has been the easy replacement of the stock intake assembly (stock setup shown above) with a K&N FIPK Gen2 Cold air Intake. Not only does it look better, but it definitely performs a lot stronger across the whole rpm range. If you are considering one, invest in a performance muffler and then install the intake. There is no reason to install a free flowing intake if your engine doesn't have the ability to rid itself of it's own exhaust properly. The exhaust and the intake are the two keys to a better performing vehicle.
To keep things simple and seeing I can't go forced induction on the 1995, I kept the stock 2.25" pipework and added a Ravin Z55 Performance Muffler. Not too many people have heard of these but they are installed by Midas with a lifetime warranty and are better built and better flowing than the Flowmaster 40.
MAN, IS IT LOUD AND I DIDN'T EVEN GET THE LOUDEST MODEL.....YEESH!
*EDIT: NEW SOUNDCLIPS HAVE BEEN ADDED! NEW CLIPS INCLUDE THE NEW MAGNAFLOW CATALYTIC CONVERTER.*
NEW ACCELERATION SOUNDCLIP FROM INSIDE VEHICLE
Funny thing is, since I installed the cold air intake, it's EVEN LOUDER! I love it.
