On December 26, 1996 I bought this 1983 Monte Carlo SC with around 42,000 original miles on it. The car is burgundy with burgundy interior. The car has a split bench, column shift, manual windows, rear defrost and air conditioning. I put the car into storage with 89,000 miles on it two years ago in hopes of turning it into the car I always wanted. Currently the only modifications I have done are typical hop up stuff such as: new wires, plugs, dual exhaust with walker turbo mufflers exiting SS style, Crane Variable Duration lifters, an ADS computer chip, and a K&N filter housed inside a modified L-69 dual snorkel air cleaner. Next I removed the AC, Cat, and smog stuff. For the suspension I added aftermarket wheels, Suspension Techniques lowering springs, new shocks, rear sway bar, rear seat brace, upper radiator supports, front radiator supports, F-41 bars, Jeff Davidson custom front and rear frame bars, and a Pontiac lower support bar. Interior wise the car is still pretty much stock except for the black steering wheel off a 1990 Chevrolet sport truck, front and rear burgundy velour dash mats, Billet Specialties window cranks, door knobs, column dress up kit, and turn signal/cruise control cover.
