totalled the tbird ran into the back of a catalak i know i spelt that wrong but yeah smashed the whole front end after just getting the transmission and engine done. engine had a cam and roller rockers from moranav6racing.com and true dual exhuast. now i just bought a 1986 grand prix with a 305 in it so im gonna try out working on a gm product for once im gonna miss the old tbird

well i have a 1990 ford thunderbird. It's silver in color and pretty nice. at least it was. i wrecked it about a month ago and now i am in the process of building it. In my mind its a good thing that it got wrecked cause i probably would have never gotten around to fixing it up. Before it was wrecked it did high 14s in the quarter. not to bad for a standard tbird. The only thing i put on it back then was dual exhuast and and air intake. Its kinda hard to find parts for that car. If there is any advice people could give to me on where i can find some parts for a 3.8 liter v6. i dont have any pics on here now but i will asap. hey i was wondering if you think that i should convert my front end leave a message if you do

On your responce to the 2.8->3.4 conversion for the Jeep Cherokee: The engine does bolt right up (I have auto tranny, but shouldn't be different) The 2.8, 3.1, and the 3.4 (from a RWD 93-95 Camaro fits perfectly without much hassle. The only thing needed is for your flywheel to be internally balanced. Do a search on GOOGLE for a 2.8-> 3.4 engine swap, and you should find plenty of info. If not, drop me a line.

I just checked out the price on the dash for the T-Bird and they were around $1510.00 Canadian to buy new. They are obsolete, so you can't get anymore, I moved the glass as best I could to see about cracks and there were none I could see, got glass slivers while I was looking, my new email is ivemademydecision@yahoo.ca, there is a story behind the email i'll tell you if you want, email me one day with an offer and i'll get some pics put onto the computer for you so you can see yourself and then we will talk some more.

Hey, sounds like you got alot of work ahead of you, I just went out and checked out my old T-Bird and I can't see any cracks at all in the dash. Make me an offer and i'll see what I can do for you.

hey man, this is 89lxbird, but with my new truck...anyway, i ended up givin the bird away to blingstang92gt, who abandoned it. Its gone now. Sorry to hear you wrecked your bird. If you go to the forums on www.sccoa.com, they can tell you where to get parts, and there is a for sale section too. In my opinion, i think the 94/95 frontend gives the car a grandma car appearance where the boxier, more basic front-end of the 89-93 birds looks more like a capable car, slap a cobra cowl hood on there and it will look mean! Just my own opinion though, never did care for 94 and up fronts. Good luck
