After rebuilding the engine I took on a few more rebuilds which sadly I didn't document well with pictures. Since the engine rebuild I have rebuilt my TH350 trans with a shift kit from Trans Go, all new clutches and springs. I rebuilt a spare 10-bolt posi rear, changing the gear ratio from 2:73 to 3:23 with a Richmond Ring and Pinion gear set. I have also ungraded the ignition system, by installing a CD (Capacitive Discharge) system from Crane Cams (HI 6 with L 92 external coil) new 8mm Accel plug wires, cap and rotor. I have rebuilt the stock quadrajet four barrel carbuerator and put better jets and metering rods in it. I have installed an aftermarket 6" racing Tachometer in the dash along with a Hurst V-Matic 2 Dual Gate ratchet shifter. I also installed a Holley 80GPH fuel pump with Holley pressure regulator as well. I don't have pictures of any of these projects but if you want to see the finished product just ask me for some pictures.
My most recent project was rebuilding a set of 7a heads that I pulled from a local junkyard. These heads came off of a 1972 Olds 350 from a same year Cutlass. I sent the out to a local engine shop to hot-tanked, magnafluxed, new guides pressed in, new valve springs installed, and new seals. Before I sent them out I did some research online at an Oldsmobile forum (realoldspower.com) and found that I could do some useful home porting with a dremel. Here are some pictures of what I did.

The reason I did this work was because these heads have smaller combustion chambers which put my final compression ratio, with new thinner heads gaskets, right around 10.25:1. Here is a picture of the heads with new chrome valve covers. (If you look closely you can see the ignition box on the firewall).

Finally here a few more race pictures, the first at Cecil county raceway in MD, and the other at this year's (2003) Pontiac Day at ATCO. I won my first round race against a 2001 Trans Am shown in the picture but I lost the next round.

I don't know what else I'm planning for this car besides finishing the body work and getting it painted with fresh decals but I'd like to get it running solid 13's at the race track. Please sign my guestbook and tell me what you think of my car and the work I've done so far.
I'd like to give a big thanks to my dad, not only for taking most of the pictures you see here :) but also for all the time, money and insight he has given me with this project. I never would be the mechanic I am today without his help and knowledge. Oh, and also thanks for the tools! I'd also like to thank my mom and girlfriend for putting up with the noise, the time I spend with the car, and the their support with this project as well.
Oh, here is a picture of my wonderful, gorgeous, sexy, smart, girlfriend Alix. Oh, I'm in there somewhere too! :)
