Jim's real Citroen XM 2.0si with the funky suspension and climate control, and even an inner rear window to stop your back seat passengers getting cold when you open the hatch.
The suspension is Hydraulic, giving a very smooth ride, famous for looking like a low rider when the engine is off, and then rising to ride height when started. It can be set for very soft and smooth, and also has a sports mode which makes it stiffer.
The braking system works off the same system, meaning you only need to lightly touch the brakes, it is the lightest braking I have ever tried. Linked with the suspension this also limits diving at the front when braking hard, as extra pressure is transmitted to the front suspension.
It is also self leveling, so you can have a full load of passengers, and a boot full of stuff, and still ride like normal.
This model has an Auto gearbox, which is the most common for an XM. very smooth gear changes, although 3 to 4 can be a bit lumpy when going up hills.
The 2.0 engine is good for cruising at 95, but can comfortably cruise at 100 to 105 as well, and will nudge 110. Acceleration is not exceptional, but is certainly quick enough to beat all "normal" drivers off the lights, although hot hatches with big exhausts tend to make it eat dust!
Unfortunately I had to sell this car, it ended up just costing too much to keep fixing all the thousands of things that go wrong on a complex system like this. I miss is dearly!!!
