I bought my car in October of 2000. It is a Type LT 1973 Camaro with 140,000 original miles on the car. Once we drove the car around for a few weeks we began to break it down so that my father and I could restore it.
The Engine was removed first followed by the body on the front end. After that, the front forks were removed along with everything on the front suspension and anything on the fire wall.
While everything was being stored in my backyard, then engine was broken down and the block was sent to a Machine Shop near my home. The guy there boiled the block, bored it .030 over, and decked it.
My father began porting and polishing the heads, while I began cleaning and painting all of the parts that would be kept stock.
We then ordered a full suspension for front and rear, along with a complete front and rear brake set along with brake lines. I began painting these parts and started to install them back onto the car once the firewall was painted and front forks were sandblasted and powdercoated.
Right now the car is basically how we bought it (from the firewall back). There are only the forks on the front and one side has a-arms and new shocks.
Once the car is completed it will have comp cams, roller rockers and lifters, an Edelbrock Air-Gap Intake Manifold, Edelbrock 700cfm carb, Hedman Headers, 3" Flowmaster exhaust, Accel Ignition, and 9.5:1 compression pistons.

This is just my car in the garage

This is my car before we did anything to it, except that the wheels are off and the car is on blocks....there are more pics of the restoration on the next few pages.....
