shortend ford thunderbird driveshaft

custom aluminum shift knob

front seats from a 89 mustang

auto meter air fuel gauge

2.5 inch single exhaust, was perfect for the 2.1 litre, but is still brand new, so i left in place

before and after... huge improvement!!

Summer 2005 mods....
built ford 5.0 H.O. engine, gt-40 heads, cobra intake, converted to MAF

twin turbos, on custom turbo headers, 10-15 psi of boost

stand alone fuel manegment system

new dual 2.5 inch exhaust, no cats, dual 40 series flowmasters

Tremec manual transmission...3550, or TKO... thinking about a T56 Six-speed, need to research compatability with 5 litre

custom built 2 inch heavywall driveshaft

powertrax locker in stock rear end, when it blows up, replacing with ford 9 inch

17 inch Lincolin LS 5 spoke wheels, with 235/45/17 rubber

IPD lowering springs

bilstein gas shocks

IPD swaybars

prothane bushings throughout suspesion

might play with the stereo if i have any money left :)

the motor is the big project, once i get my twin turbo setup working well, ill start on some of the other areas of the car, but i want it drivable turbo-ed so i can go to new england dragway this summer first, and see what kind of times it will pull... i hope to be one of the first people on the east coast to build a twin turbo V8 volvo.... i havent seen or heard of anyone doing it in the past, but if someone knows of someone who has, point me in their direction please, i would like to know how it worked for them.

Nice work, how hard is it for the mounts and such to fit a V8? I'm looking to a similar conversion to a 262.

That's a nice looking 242, I considered doing a v8 swap with my 944, but decided on using an s80 t6 motor instead. Definately go for the twin-turbo, and go for a quick-spooling setup too. Come check out my 940, though my project is still just in the planning stages. The red wagon you can see in some of the pics will hopefully be the recipient of an LS1 conversion sometime in the future.
