This is my 2001 GMC Sonoma SLS 4x4 when it was factory (Left). It came stock with the standard 4x4 platform and LT 235/75R15 Goodyear Wrangler RTS tires. My truck now (right) has a 2" Performance Accessories Body lift, slight torsion bar crank, and 31x10.50 BF Goodrich All-Terrain T/A Tires.

VORTEC = AWESOME
My 'noma is powered by the GM 262ci 4.3 Vortec V6 which achieves 190 horsepower @ 4400 RPM and 250 lb-ft torque @ 2801 RPM. The engine is mated to a 4-speed electronically controlled automatic transmission with overdrive. It comes equipped with a 3.73:1 locking differential and four wheel anti-lock disc brakes. The push button shift-on-the-fly 2speed transfer case and a 5,500lb towing capacity allows me to pull the imports out of snowbanks in the winter, or those nasty ditches on the side of the road (that's not a figure of speech, it really happens.)
