Hehe, so I'm really into pc gaming and my favorite game right now is Unreal Tournament 2004. I'm pretty good at it too! As you guessed, it came out recently! I pre-ordered that baby a month in advance and as a gift it came with a car emblem! So hey, I figured I'd incorperate it into the dragon.
I didn't really want to stick it on the bare paint on top of my ride so I looked for other options. Many other sentra owners replace the stock honeycomb grill with what they like to call "ghetto grill". There is a how-to online that I looked over and didn't really follow lol. I made mine without modifying any of the stock plastic/nubs/connecters in case I wanted to revert back later on. It was quite a pain in the ass to cut the stuff perfect but after a failed attempt, I got it done within a few hours (just the grill part!). Here is a shot of the stock front grill removed from the car:
Here are some of the supplies I started out with to put the thing together...yes I used paper to make a stencil and rough draft of how to fit the grill to the frame. Other supplies bought later include primer paint, black paint, clear coat, thin black wiring, and the black nylon.
I was gonna take more shots of how I actually did everything but got too involved with the work and the camera's battery died at some point too, but here are two shots I took while masking off the area to be painted.
After half a day's work of designing, cutting, fitting, painting, etc...I finally finished. Here is the finished product and the UT pride it represents.
