The shop is only charging me $2,300 for labor. If you can do it yourself go for it but I really didn't want to do the swap under a carport with no walls and crapy tools, having the shop do it is cool because they know the MKIII really well.

I wouldn't suggest buying a built engine. You're better off rebuilding the one you have, or getting one that is in need of a rebuild and doing it yourself or giving it to a machine shop you trust. Let me know if you have any questions.
