It begins on April 20th 2002, at the Spring Carlisle swap meet. The 25th, we go to the guys house and do the paperwork. He wanted $2800, only dash and seats inside, no front end, more bondo than steel. I got him down to $2300, and that was good enough for me, even though it's still high, it doesn't matter. Money comes and goes, but Pontiac love is forever.
With new quarter panels installed by George from my old job, we moved it to Shane's shop in Pennslyvania early in the winter of 2002. Originally, I was just going to spray it flat black, throw a front end on it and go. Even though I could've had it on the road shortly after I bought it, It'll be a lot better to restore it.
Here it is, the 1973 Pontiac 350, #46 heads, 7.5:1 compression and 170 horsepower. I was going to build this up, then I got it home and really looked it over, checked out the parts availibility, not worth it. The engine was obviosly neglected, the oil was really thick and black, with metal shavings in it, and after spending a lot of time out in the snow in Pa, it took on a lot of water too.
The bodywork begins with the quarters
Door hinges, rebuilt and painted
Next is the deck lid
and doors

And here is the basecoat
