Dodge_rebel's 1983 Chevrolet El Camino Hello and thanks for coming to my site. My elcamino is a 83 elcamino ss with a modified 327 engine.I?m still in the process of modifications but im young and dont exactly have alot of money, but lucky for me that my dad owns a high performance machine shop, so i had no problem finding an engine i could hot rod up a little. Here are a few modifications i have made so far.

-heddman hedders
-3.73 gears
-speed pro power forged pistons
-Rebuilt rochester 750 quadrajet carb. We tried a holley and an edelbrock but no more horsepower on the dyno, just sucked more gas.
-edelbrock performance manifold.
-milled, port and polished gm heads.
-moroso durafire gm HEI distributor with vacuum advance.
-700 r4 transmission.(i hope to one day get a ratchet shifter)
-moroso street and strip oil pan.
-2000 rpm stall converter
-isky 274 hydraulic racing cam and lifter kit.
-dual exhaust
-flowmaster delta series 40
-new paint job(hop to get super sport decals put back on.)
-new ultra rims and firehawk indy 500 tires.
-i hope to keep improving my engine as i get extra money, but for a 327 not only does she have a bunch of bottom-end power but she revs out 354 horse on the dyno. And i havent had a chance to dyno her since i put in my new cam, hedders and exhaust.

Man I plan on using a high performance 327 also. Pistoned up and all. Is it easy to light them tires up ir do you have to use the brake? Hows the acceleration does it need more torque or does it feel smooth? But yeah check out my project.

Now thats American. Nothin' like an El Camino with raised whites, a 350, and some thumpin' stereo. Great job. Check out mine sometime.
