I just bought this 92 SuperCab Ford Ranger STX 4x4 as of the end of March/04. It is an automatic with the 4.0L engine. Push button four wheel drive. Axle code is 91 --> 3.27, open diff, 8.8", 28-spline. Trans code is T --> 4 speed automatic (A4LD). The truck had 147,437 miles on it when I pulled into my driveway for the Ranger's first time. I bought it at a small used car dealer in Omaha, NE. I'd have never thought that I would have come across this STX in the shape that it is in within just 20 miles of my house. The Ranger has like new BFG All-Terrains (235/75/15).The paint is dull so I'll have to apply a lot of elbow grease and some rubbing compound, followed by a good wax job. The auto 4x4 hubs have got to go. It'll be a while before I have any spending money but as soon as I do, I'm going to buy the Warn locking hubs w/ the conversion kit. I'd also like to upgrade my locks and windows to power locks and power windows. Additionally, I'd like to see if I could have some custom power mirrors made (I don't believe they were available as an option on the Ranger until 1993).
