So this is my summer car. I love this thing to death, and its treated me pretty well. Dad gave it to me when I was 15, and started modifying it soon-after.
The Body
The body of my Audi 5000 has been modified a great deal. This began with the front bumper, which, when combined with another stock bumper, allowed the front "chin-spoiler." This was one of the easiest, and in my opinion, best modification's to the car.
While substancial work went into the car's front style, much more went into the rear. Upon close examination, you might see the custom quarter-panels, which are composed of both stock audi, and Chevrolet S-10 Pickup truck quarterpanels. These quarterpanels were used to allow the Carbon Fiber taillights, (also for an S10, which was a truck-only modification at the time)
In addition to the taillights, the trunklid was shaved of its lights, and smoother body-lines, combined with a liscence-plate holder that sits deep in the body were their replacement. To finish the look, a wing from JSP, (as seen on a very nice M3) was used.
***As of now, the rear is changed, in hopes of looking more sophisticated. (I must be getting old) The wing has been removed, "large" exhaust removed, and taillights changed.
Performance
***Please excuse my lack of engine pictures as of right now***
My Audi was equipped with audi's Turbocharged Inline five cylander, which was pretty good motor, the car went pretty well being it that it was such a heavy car.
The modifications I've made to this car's engine are as far as I intend to go. For performance I've got the white car, and as much as I love it, the excess boost I have even now is very tough of the Automatic Transmission in this car.
It does, however, have a QLCC 1.8 bar Chip and wastegate spring, as well as a K&N Airfilter, 272 cam, and modified exhaust.
Brakes
Brake upgrades on Audi's seem to be growing rather common, and knowing how rare it is for performance modifications on older Audi's such as mine to exist only added to my excitement when I found RPI's Big brake kit.
The Kit took my front twin-piston calipers and small rotors, and replaced them with massive two-piece 13 Inch rotors (drilled and slotted) and RPI's four-piston calipers. (made by wilwood) It uses Ferrodo pads, and new braided lines, to make the Audi stop like my friend's Acura. (think intertia from a car this size) I've Gotta give RPI credit.
Intercooler
Finally I finished what I started a while back and got the new intercooler functioning on the Audi...
Its and ABD core (Audi A4) with custom piping.
Thanks for checking it out!
