A little time, some skill, and a few tools and I made my thoughts a reality. I never would have thought it would come out this nice. (To bad the engine died with in a month after reconstruction of my stound system setup.)
To see a description other then my own, my car is also on Crutchfield's RoadTest webpage. Click here to see
Here is a picture of the trunk of my car. A few neon tubes, some MDF, paint, time, patience, the right equipment and this is what I came up with. Everything you see was constructed and designed by me. Every once in a while some friends helped. I will explain how I made everything and show pictures of the construction after I show the all of the finished products.
Here is a picture during the daylight. As you can see I have 2 -12" Kicker SoloBaric L7's. Powering the Kickers is a Rockford Fosgate Bd1500.1 (1670rms X 1 @ 2ohms). The Kickers have a dual 2ohm voice coil design. Each sub is wired in series and the 2 subs are wired in parallel to each other. On the left there is a Rockford Fosgate 1 Farad Digital Capacitor flush mounted in the custom side panel. Right next to it there is a 3-way ANL fuse holder.
Here is a picture of my finished front door panels. Once again I did it myself. There is a 6 1/2" Rockford Fosgate Fanatic Q mid-bass speaker and a Fanatic Q crossover with a Team Fosgate logo in the middle. The panel is covered in black vinyl stretches so that there was not a single crease. That was hard to do. The actual door panel was re-carpeted with black carpet. The old dirty grey was just not going to cut it.
