I bought my 442 1988, right after I got out of college. Unfortunely I can't fing the pictures I took of it. Drove it for one winter and the rust started eating it, so I threw a quick paint job on it and drove it another couple of years. Finally threw it in the garage in 1993. Last year I decided to restore it. When I pulled it out, after replacing the gas tank, brake lines, rotors, exhaust sytem and radiatior, this is what it looked like.

what's up??? hope you're enjoying the summer. Was wondering if you kept the original rear-end (and if so, if you've swapped in lower gears.) This is on my list (my long list) of things to do. Years ago, i researched everything that would go into swapping out the gears but my mind purged the info long ago. I remember crap about c-clips and stuff.

is that the original 350 (or 403?) I was wondering if you could tell me about the exhaust system you went with... i see you mention flowmasters. I've been wondering how they'd sounds on my 350. I've had Dynomax SuperFlows on for a few years and I think its time for a change & want something more aggressive. This question goes for any of you other '76/'77 guys as well!
