Page One
This page is dedicated to the restoration of my '69 Jaguar E-Type, I have added some new photos since I first put this page up, so browse thru if you like. I'd also like to take this opportunity to thank two people without whom this project would not have been possible. Castle P., who lent me books and gave of his expertise and inspiration, and Dennis C. -both of San Diego- who lent me the rotisserie and gave me huge amounts of his time and techiques in Jag restoration. Both of these gentlemen are true Jag enthusiasts and I thank them wholeheartedly if belatedly.

This was the car as it looked when I brought it home, you can't see the rust or smell the gas leaks, but they're there!I also don't like the "braces" around the nose and those nasty side marker lites. They'll have to go. Note also those knock offs, not appropriate for this year, but much better looking than those hex shaped ones they came with in '69.

This is what the engine compartment looked like, it's all there and all original, and the numbers match. I later got a certificate from Jaguar Heritage verifying the originality, it's a very official and nice looking document, I'll see if I can upload it into this page later.

Dave: Great job on a very thorough restoration of a magnificent classic! Those of us that have restored cars know the huge amount of hours of hard work it takes to make a car "like-new". I'd very much like to see some high-res. photos of the final product when you get a chance. I'm also curious to know how much, approximately, you have in it since I'm considering an e-type, myself. Feel free to message me, thanks! - JR

Dave, COngratulations on the hard and long journey. I am starting a 69 E Type coupe restoration just now. The previous owner had done a lot of the rust repairs already, but I still have lots to do. I enjoyed the photos and ommets about your project and would love to hear more details and tips you may have to pass along. I can be reached here: [j"dot"carey"at"earthlink"dot"net] if you have a moment to send a note or more of those photos you took? Best regards, John

Awesome build. How could you think about parting with it?
