Ok, this is my 1995 Honda CRX del Sol. It's one of six (at least to my knowledge) in Saudi Arabia. They didn't sell particularily well here, although they did well in other parts of the Middle East. It's a bit different from the one sold in the US. For one thing it's the CRX del Sol, not the Civic del Sol. Other differences include the engine and the roof. The engine is the 1.6L, 135hp, twin-cam from the Integra. The electric roof came as standard; it's come to my attention that that wasn't the case on the American models. There's a slight modification, I've installed two buttons in the place of the ash tray that allow me to raise the trunk independently from inside. I also have a Kenwood MP3/WMA head-unit. Two Sony Xplod speakers (230w each) have been mounted on the storage boxes behind the front seats. Unfortunately, that isn't an adequate acoustic chamber for the speakers, and sound quality is somewhat compromised. I will be replacing all the speakers in the car, and fitting a sub-woofer if at all possible. My personal preference is Pioneer. I've also checked out an excellent body-kit by Extreme Dimensions, but will need some wheels to compliment that.

The roof went and fucked itself. Got stuck while I was putting it up. Anyway, I had it put back down, but Honda Saudi Arabia doesn't have parts for this car. I'll need to get parts over from Bahrain. Whatever...

It's dead. Well a lot of things went wrong after the the roof. I crashed it...which wasn't that bad. It was a minor hit and the front bumper, front-left indicator, and rear-right suspension bushing had to be replaced. Other than that it was all good. Barely a week later, one of the headlights managed to fry their wiring. A couple months later, the little circuit board that controls the power windows gave out. It took a week for that part to come in...and then that was fixed. Finally, I was driving along at maybe 20 kmh and the ball joint on the front left part of the axle came apart. So I was left straned for 45 minutes till the tow truck showed up. Anyways, after that little incident my parents want me to sell it and look for a new car. We'll see how that goes. Oh, and the best part...I never managed to get the part to get the roof fixed. (BTW, the interior was retrimmed in 2-tone leather.) New photos as soon as the digital camera is fixed...funny how all my shit is broken.
