Throttle Body Removal(Mar.21,2004)

ZZperformance has a part on the site that says the 99 GTP TB screen is restrictive and has little effects if you take it off to increase airflow by 10% or so. So I decided to try it out! Here we are!

99GTPstud's 1999 Pontiac Grand Prix Compliments of ZZper. this picture shows the throttle body and one end of the intake where i took the hose off to get to the screen.

A picture showing the C ring that held the screen in.. and the screen itself after removal. 99GTPstud's 1999 Pontiac Grand Prix

99GTPstud's 1999 Pontiac Grand Prix Close up picture, now the throttle definitely has more air flow through it after taking that baby out.

So far no problems, if I encounter any from taking this off ill post it up so everyone knows!

Hey I signed your g-book a while back and you returned the favor with a detailed essay on how to clean an engine. I still haven't gotten to it, but I will since it's going to be summer soon. Of course I still don't have my own car but now I'm getting very close and I am looking far more into the numbers involved with GP's, especially GTP's. Is there any chance you could email me with some numbers? I'm looking specifically at long term stuff like insurance monthly and gas. My email is on my page. That would be greatly appreciated! Thanks so much and keep up the good work!
