As said on page 2, the mother of al Galant's: The VR-4
The Galant VR-4 is another 280PS (276 hp) Japanese sports-sedan, kind of a big brother to the boy racer Lancer Evo. Its twin-turbo 2.5-litre engine propels the sedan to 60 mph in under 6 clicks, with the wagon coming in about half a second later. The power is transmitted from the engine, through a 5-speed automatic tranny and sent to an awd system, a la Lancer Evo, which incorporates Active Yaw Control to limit wheel spin. The transmission provides a sequential shifting option and is quite clever, using both Normal and Sport modes to adapt to various road and weather conditions. The agressive look of the VR-4 is distiguished from lesser Galant models by the large front air dam, lower ride height, bigger wheels and fatter tires. On the inside, the Galant provides power everything, air con, a CD player and soft but supportive Recaro leather seats however the stereo system is far below par and an ergonomic nightmare as is the CD changer. Compared to an E-class Benz, the Galant is not as refined and much thirstier (acheving 21 mpg on the highway) but will attract a lot more attention and provides performance that an E320 could only dream of.
