Street Scenes Main and Lower Valence Grille Install
I finally made the time to get these grilles on the Max. It's been sitting in my room since my friend had painted them black. The pics below are just for placement. There was a 3/4 inch gap at the top so I had to split the difference and center the grille so the spacing wasn't obvious. I also discovered the edges of the ss grille that made contact to the main grille left minor scratches. To prevent further scratches I will have to purchase some black foam tape from the local hardware store. At the moment I applied silicon sealant to the edges that make contact. I doubt if that will prevent scratches. The lower valence grille is installed and secured.
Rare JDM Carbon Fiber Door pillars (Nismo)
I purchased the regular carbon fiber instead of the white carbon fiber. The regular cf matches the AE headlights and the SE taillights.
NEW MAF
While inspecting my injen filter I decided to replace my MAF. The Maxima repsonds much better now. The old (original MAF) was working but I don't think it was working correctly. It probably was going bad. On acceleration it felt like I started off in a higher gear and I would really have to step on the gas to get the RPMs going. The Injen CAI could be a contributing factor since it takes away some of the low end power. The SES light came on a day later after the new MAF was install but it should go away once the ECU adjust to it.
