Car Domain Showoff Of The Week:

April 18th 2005 during my rebuild of the MP5T, My car was nominated for "Showoff Of The Week" . I didn't even really clue in for the first bit as I thought the Orange Banner on the top of the page was just a link to the Show Off Of The Week, not that I was one. Thanks for the Votes!

MP5t In Newspaper:

I was approached Via Cardomain by Sandra Robinson, A Journalist in Australia. She asked it my car could be posted in her paper. I got this in the mail the other day, what a surprise!

MP5T at SCN Moncton 2005:

A Friend of mine on the Mazda Forums, John, E-Mailed me and asked if I was planning to go to the SCN Show in Moncton. I really didn't know at the time and didn't have a ticket to get in. He called on Friday and said that he had a spot in the Meguiars booth and all was arranged for me to arrive on Saturday (Roll In Was Friday).. Um, I believe I wet myself and said casually "Ok, I'll meet you there". During the show I noticed that my car was rather difficult to show compared to the others. Stereos, Lights, X-Box, Air Ride, Paint. are all things that a person can see. It's difficult to make someone understand what the car is all about without being able to just fire them in the seat and blasting around a parking lot. Having said that, I stood in front of my car and answered questions. I was lucky that the judges came by when I was there. I explained about how it's a daily driver and how it's taken me three years to build it. I think he was tripping a bit on the fact that there is noting really in the car that takes away from making it go fast... No Stereo, A/C was removed, Power Steering was Removed, Most of the noise killer under the carpet. I removed allot that makes the car comfortable but only what could be removed without being seen. As it turned out, both the Tiburon and the other Protegé 5 won their class then took third best of show and best of show. What a killer day for the Gordon Team!

My talk with the judges seems to have impressed them as the car won "Best Performance" , definitely worth my drive. My wife and I had a great time in Moncton!

SCN Quebec City 2006:

The Wife and I had an Awesome Time at this show. Shared a Booth with Kiet Hong from Team Emotion . Met a lot of new people and saw what Quebec has to offer. They love their rides and it shows in the level of the cars. MISA CAMPO on the hood FTW!
