This is the finished product after 3 years of work. I decided to have the painter fill all the wholes in the body because i didnt want to put any of the trim peices on. I was going for a very simple look.
I came up with the design of this dashboard. I didnt care to much for the orignal dash. No offense to those who like to keep these cars original i just wanted a custom look and i wanted it to stand out. It is just diamond plate aluminum and if you decide to go with this be sure to be ready to polish a lot. The autometer gauges were very expensive and the wiring is a bit involved but nothing insurmountable.
This isnt the best picture of the motor but thats it. Its a 383, which is a 350 block with a 400 crank which brings the displacement up to 383cuin. Stroker motors have a lot of low end torque and this one has about 450ft pounds. It has a 30lbs billet flywheel and a centerforce dual friction racing clutch. basically the clutch sticks like glue but your leg gets very tired after a day of cruising.
This is the car in the shade. in the shade the car just looks like plain jet black. but actually its a custom mixed color. the painter took black and then i took a midnight blue and started pouring the blue in until i told him to stop. so now in the sunlight and under neon lights at like a gastation it looks like its a midnight blue rather than black. i couldnt be more happy about how flat he got the body and the way the paint turned out. if you want any information about the pianter just let me know and ill send you his card he does amazing work. Also in this picture you can really see how the front is dropped two inches. i like the stance how it is now but im still debating on whether or not i should go with air bags so i can really tuck some rim.
Now that i have figured out how to work this thing ill have lots more pictures coming especially since i just got a digital camera...
