Hey whats up!? New project for me yet again hehe...I couldn't wait! Here it is...a 1971 Mercedes 280SEL 4.5 . It has only 80k ORIGINAL MILES!!! The engine runs fine and it has a lot of torque from its 4.5 liter V-8, and the 4 speed automatic transmission shifts decently. The interior is in great shape for its age, with virtually little wear and tear on the passenger seats and a few minor tears in the driver's seat. Exterior-wise, it's in definite need of some work, with some rust here and there and dents galore. Should be interesting /:)Here's a front/side view with the big chrome grill...this car has sooo much chrome all over the rest of the body, no wonder it weighs so damn much hehe. I've already begun the sanding process of the body to rid the car of some rust and to prep it for a paintjob. Here's a rear/side view...the chrome on the wheels is peeling off!!!Pic of the front seats and the dashPic of the dashPic of the rear seatsPic of the engine...A fuel injected 4.5 Liter, 277 Cubic Inch V-8 with 225hp.Plans for the car...*Further detailing of the engine bay... for example, sanding down the air intake cover and repainting it black, installing a new hood pad, etc*Reupholstering the seats and refinishing all the wood in the interior.*Rechroming or purchasing new aftermarket chrome wheels*Install a more freely flowing exhaust system*New Paint, tint, upgraded sound system, and new interior lightingAny ideas? Please feel free to let me know...thank you!
