I took a trip down to Exotic Motorsports in Chocranville PA, it is about 7,000 miles from my house in Wilkes-Barre (OK maybe not 7,000 more like 2.5 hrs but you try drivin in uncomfortable racing seats and 4 blown struts). There was a “meet”, a bunch of DSMs and some SRT-4s. After watching 19 people dyno it was my turn I paid my $40 and this is how it turned out:
Yes I drove 2.5 hours to put down a depressing 241.58whp and 247.48wtq. My air:fuel Ratio was 14:1... can any one say 2.0L DOHC turbo paperweight? Well luckily it didn't blow but it woulda had I done say a 4th gear pull rather than a 3rd. See my engine was knocking like a hyperactive teenager on a deaf-man's door. When the engine knocks it pulls timing so that the end result is the output power of a John Deere garden tractor. This is the engine's way of saying "hey stupid gimme some frigging gas". On a 2G 4G63 the optimal air:fuel ratio is in the vacinity of 10:1. With a ratio of 14:1 I was getting a whopping 13-14 degrees advance. Once I finally got home I decided to tear up the streets in an effort to get my damn timing back.. I did, I am running a lot richer now and am seeing around 19-20 degrees of timing at 6500 RPMs. Timing is power and 5 degrees advance has proven to yield in the vacinity of 30-40whp, So I believe that with the boost turned down to a safe 19 psi and my timing squared away an estimate of around 280 - 290 at the wheels is viable.

I am proud to say that I did or was involved in doing all of the work on this car, from the engine upgrades to the paint I had a hand in it. This is what I built. It's not for everyone but I like it and that is what matters to me. As I said before somethings I couldn't do all by myself, these things were only accomplished with the help of some of my friends and I would like to thank them here: Russell - for help changing the timing belt, the clutch and ur handy dandy mechanical knowledge and your support Thanks - Tom - for the shop to do the work in, the help with the engine upgrades mostly the exhaust and intercooler piping Thanks - Mike - for the sick ass paint job thanks - Coventry Restorations - for allowing me to use any equipment and getting me out of many pinches Thanks - Chris - for guiding me in the right direction when I decided to do performance upgrades and for answering just about every question that I bothered you with Thanks - For my sponsors; Slow Boy Racing, Street Imports and Chaser Aerodynamics, Thanks, Dad - for bein there every time I needed a hand and to get me out of a hole that I just dug myself Thanks - To my friends and family - for being there supporting me and my hobby Thanks - To my Car Club - LOW ROLLIN CREATIONS - We have the most kick ass members!.
