Still doing the restoration! the picture you see is at the start of the body work. I do have pictures of the car before any work was done, but none that are formatted. The car was originally the stock light yellow from ford. The car is really taking shape as far as the paint goes! I was very lucky in finding a mustang that was so clean! This car had hardly any rust damage at all. The floor boards are in great shape too. We took the entire car down to metal and put new primer on everything. The left rear 1/4 panel did get replaced because of a hole in the fender lip. The bondo you see on the right rear quarter is paper thin! And tom the guy doing the body work, told me we could get out the natural waves in the metal that came stock from the factory.....so i agreed! Other than that, the body we'll be kept original.
I will keep you posted on the progress of the car! This will be one sharp looking mustang when its complete!
The modifications on your left are the plans for the car, not yet installed! all parts are still boxed and ready to be installed as soon paint is complete.
Here is the beginning of the paint! Everything shown here is all jammed out. The trunk compartment, engine, and all doors and any interior.
I am not restoring the car to original, sorry mustang enthusiast! I'am just doing what i like! The engine compartment is entirely the same colors of what the car will be and same with trunk! interior will be off white w/green!
Here is a shot of what the interior color will be!
Shot from the front with no clear coat on yet.
Well here it is with paint! All this work has taken place over the past month and 1/2. The guy that owns the body shop is really good at getting cars in and out! All the paint has taken place over the past week. This shot is the base coat with no clear!
Here is a shot of the rear end with the clear coat on it and one more coat to go.
Here is a driver side shot with the clear.
The paint is getting close to being finished! not much longer a few touch up and then I will start putting all the trim back on.
