We bought the eunos during june 2003 and sarah was the first uk owner. Sarah wanted a fun, cheap and reliable toy to keep her happy while i was at university so i surgested the eunos roadster. We found this example hidden in London. It came from an import specialist with only 50,000 miles on the clock and with the hardtop thrown in we snapped the dealers arm off. During the first year of ownership we have personalised the mazda from

As it was to be parked on the street the hardtop was essential and at over ?1000 new it was going to have to be put into the deal. Other extras that came with the car include

Air con
speakers in the headrests
tasty gearnob and pedals
momo steering wheel
HKS induction kit
Aftermarket alloys
Roll hoops with the strut brace

I drove it home and instantly fell in love with the way it drove, slightly more responsive than my 106 diesel but thats all i can afford to insure being a student.
As soon as the roof comes off it takes the experiance to another level as the induction kit really adds to the notes produced from under the bonnet. The relatively small engine puts on a real growl.
Eventually i was persuaded to let Sarah have a go.

In the auturm i fitted the mesh grill and a starter button. These were cheap and easy ways to get my hands dirty for the first time and added asthetics to the exterior and the race car feel to the interior. Furthur modifications are underway such as a new stereo system as the standard one seems to be the only thing that lets the car down at the moment.

Ideally over the next year larger wheels will be added and a simple lowering job will be done to make it look even better, when the moneys available.

The only problem we have had with the car is a faulty thermo stat which saw me standing by the side of the road for a couple of minutes in a cloud of steam which was slightly embarrassing as the reason for it over heating was me being a little over enthusiastic still adds character that.

Uni work simply involves designing and building single seaters for competitions around the world.

Thanks for the Comments ( I Think ). A few chaps have suggested I lower the car. The shop where I got the tyres told me if I lower it, it makes it impossible to get the alignment correct. Also, I barely can go up my lift ramps to change the oil without striking my front spoiler. If I lower it, it will be worse. It doesn't look like it is on stilts to me. Maybe I should gain some weight and put a lod of bricks in the trunk......haha p.s. I sure am glad the state of Florida does not require a tag on the front of my car. The tag on the front is Butt-Ugly Cheers: Evan
