1994 Cadillac Fleetwood Brougham
1994 Fleetwood Touring Sedan
Fleetwood Information
The B/D Family
The Cadillac Fleetwood is part of the B/D family of cars built by GM in Arlington, Texas. It was the last line of large, body-on-frame, front engine, rear wheel drive cars to be built by GM. Other members of this family include the Chevrolet Caprice and the Buick Roadmaster. The popular Impala SS and the Police Cruiser (9C1) are also of the same heritage and the main contributors to the line’s high performance reputation. The principle component of these HO versions is the LT1 Generation II engine made famous by the Corvette. This advanced engine design gave GM the highest Horsepower/Mileage ratio ever attained with a V-8. This motor tuned for the Impala SS and Fleetwood was rated at 260 HP with 335 ft/lbs of torque. It was standard equipment in the Fleetwood from 1994 until 1996 when the entire line was discontinued in order to retool the factory for truck production. This facility is now used for the assembly of the Chevrolet Tahoe, GMC Yukon, and the Cadillac Escalade.

Specifics
The Cadillac Fleetwood came in two versions, the standard Fleetwood and the upgraded Fleetwood Brougham. Unlike the Impala SS, the Fleetwood was not marketed as a high performance model even though the drive train is virtually identical. Cadillac decided to target the “traditional” Cadillac buyer by highlighting the 7000 lb. towing capacity, which is a higher rating than most trucks and SUVs. Naturally, if you leave the trailer at home… the car goes faster! Options available only on the Brougham edition include:
· Full Padded Vinyl Roof (available as a delete option)
· Higher Rear Axle Ratio (2.93 as opposed to stock 2.56… 3.42 available with trailer package)
· 3 position Split Frame Memory Seats with 3 adjustable lumbar supports, heaters, recliners, and articulating headrests
· Rear seat storage compartment with dual cup holders
· Rear seat lighted vanity mirrors (yes… lighted mirrors on the ceiling in the back seat)
· Upgraded Aluminum wheels
· A bunch of stuff that says Brougham on it (dash, roof, and trunk)
Corvette LT1 with Ram Air System
