I am also a firefighter. i work on Groveland township Fire Department as a firefighter cadet. Here are a few of our trucks. I mean, who doesn't like fire trucks?
On the left is Engine 1. If we have a fire or car crash, this is the best truck for the job. next to that is Engine 2. This is our second best truck for a fire. Engine 1 is newer.
This is Tanker 1 on the left. The tanker is meant to transport water from a hydrant to the engine on a fire. Next to that is Squad 1. We use this to hold airpacks, bottles, ladders, all kind of stuff.
Our Grass/plow truck is on the left here. In the summer, this carries indians (like a big squirt gun on your back) for grass fires that the big trucks can't reach. In the winter we throw on a huge salt bin and a plow. Over on the right is the dive trailer. We have had several drownings in our area, so we have an underwater search and rescue team. I hope to join this shortly.
And last but not least, the ambulances. Alpha 1 is on the left and Alpha two is on the right. These are obviously used to save lives and take people to the hospital. I know Aplha 2 looks cooler, but Alpha 1 is new so it has seniority.
