Okay, its beautiful here again and I washed my ol boy and shined him up. Its picture time, and I thought I'd take them to our waterfront which is about 3 blocks away from my house and it was beautifl today. I took my Camaro pics in the same place and I like the turnout so I thought these would fit as well.

Heres the mighty BIG BLOCK 440 Magnum again all cleaned with the new valve covers and correct air cleaner.

And the General's cockpit cleaned and detailed

On now to the rest of the exterior pics from this beautiful day. I'm very pleased how they turned out with the light and the background just improves the looks of the car and gives it some substance.

I went to the local Drag strip for the monthly Test & Tune for kicks and the track is not really good at all, although fun, its not reliable for a good time. There is NO bite, and sometimes the timing lights and scores don't work, I basically look at it as a legal strip of straightaway to race someone and the first one to the line wins, nothing more, not a good place to look for a tune.
I managed a best three in a row times of 15.1 @ 92 MPH and not good reaction times and I'm still tuning the carb for proper setup since I still am an amateur carb tuner to say the least. On top of that, I have 3:23 gears and it was my first time running the General and I didn't want to be hard on him. I wasn't sure the brakes would be the best on this very, very short shut down lane. So, this time, I took it easy and mainly wanted pics and to say I ran him and had fun, thats all untill I rebuild the motor for more strip and acceleration runs, but now, I like just cruising and the occasional throttle blast. Soon enough, I'll have a goal of building a 500+ HP motor for beating on, perhaps the MOPAR 500c.i. wedge crate motor (That would be awesome) and wouldn't feel guilty for beating it and if it broke.
