These pics with the 70 Mach 1 'stang are some of my favorites. At the height of the muscle car era, these 2 cars I'm sure were commom place and I think of these pics as a sort of nostalgia. Its also neat to see the differences between the 2 companies as to how they built and engineered their respective muscle machines.
The Mustang belongs to a friend of mine and its great fun to cruise the strip together and enjoy ourselves while watching others enjoying the cars.

The Motor is a stock 440 magnum and since these pics were taken, I have replaced the air cleaner and valve covers with chrome MOPAR ones and the factory black wrinkle finish with pie pan. Much better and the chrome covers break all that orange up and the orig. ones were not in all that great of condition. The interior is mostly orig. except for a new headliner and seat covers. Once I get the interior and weather stripping redone, I'll then tackle repainting the trunk and grille, polish all the stainless and tune up the suspension & bushings. Thus far I have, refinished and painted the rims, put on 4 BF Goodrich radial T/A tires (much better), touched up some of the grille and replaced the driver's side headlamp door and the taillights. I had the bumpers rechromed (front one was bent and had a burn mark from where someone tried to heat it and straighten it, cannot even tell now, they're beautiful). Replaced the 1/4 window weather strips and new door handles, and re-installed the front disk brakes.
