well here are the shots, finally primed the car and i decided to casually throw some new pictures up here randomly....
Thats the back wall of my booth, and my air intake filters... you know... considering how restrictive looking the PAPER element 3M filter was, i thought those cheapy fiber filters would breath alot easier.. NAH... oh from now on my house furnace gets the 3M filters.. damn they work good.
Those are some shots of my post primed fender flares... the camera sucks at picking it up, but beleive me, if you have a 5000 you know what i am talking about, and it needs it to run the 225's.
Thats my sunroof and gascap, and the cans of primer i used... i used a 2k primer... WAY better then the 1k stuff i know some people have used.
These are the guns i am using on the car, the bottom feed gun on the left is a Campbell Hausfield standard automotive spraygun, it was 60 bucks, but it works well for what i've used it for so far, and for the price, you cant beat it.
The gun on the right is a Husky/Campbell Hausfield (I guess they merged or share tool manufacture) HLVP (high volume low pressure) top feed gun. the top feed helps use all the paint and gives you better control, and the HLVP action helps you use even less paint by improving paint transfer. (meaning thicker coats, or less cost in paint, or more leftovers) I tested it out and it works far better then the standard gun... i paid almost 200 bucks for it, but body guys are known for spending 2-3 times that on a gun....
Thats shots of my cans of paint and reducer.. and some shots of assorted shiny bits for my car.
