Hey... Welcome to my page dedicated to Alex!
I've known alex for a long time and well he is the kind of guy who doesnt think things through... you know. he just does what works, and if it works good doing more of it has to be better...

Following his more is better theory
Alex beleives in his heart of hearts that any amount of mechanical upgrades or tuning is needless and simply the lack therof can be compensated with copious amounts of turbo boost.
At the time of this incident he was running around 2.4BAR boost or in other words 25 PSI... mind you his theory... this was on the stock all stock components including a fuel system that had no way to ever support the power he demanded from it.
quote from alex's friend " man his car is awesome it sounds like a super bike" me " no that sound is detontation, thats bad"
A.F " no man, how can a sound like that be bad"
me (disguested)
the detonation was so bad you couldnt distinguish the engine sound from the detonation sound... man.. i am surprised the engine lasted as long as it did!
THE RESULTS?????

After calming Alex down from his depression we opened up the engine to find a lovely sight... i guess the engine was cleaned so well by all that nice detonation, thanks detonation!

WOW eh??? the hole in #4 piston is about the size of a nickle or two dimes end to end.. the metal on the block is delaminating from the knock that happened! and if you look closely on the head shot... you can see the #4 exhaust valve's valve seat was going to be melted off! look at the flaking aluminum edges around it! Also take a look at the top of the number 4 piston, kinda looks like the aluminum was getting ripped off from it, not very smooth now!!!
yea, alex got a new engine.. i donated one of my spares to "the save the alex's audi" fund... he managed to bugger it up too, we had it in the car and well it had blown a headgasket, instead of just warrentee-ing the headgasket we bought, no he listens to a moron and planes the head, which throws the cam out of alignment, and he also manages to strip all the holes that hold the manifold bolts...
magic...

He in his wisdom blames me for the headgasket failure, however he was the one supplying the parts and doing the work, so in essance he is the only one that can be blamed... in the end it doesnt matter, because had he listened to me in the first place he would have never blown up his motor.
