Here are some interesting shots pre-priming... As you can see the car has been machine scuffed to the original base with 180 grit air cushioned sandpaper.
Some panels here have 220W written on them, denoting i have wet sanded by hand with 220 grit.

Here is what the typical car looks like without fenders... Hmm, offroading anyone?

The image to the left shows a wet sanded door. the image to the right shows my machine sanded rear fender... quite the difference in smoothness i'd say.

Here we have a fender and the trunk lid, again comparisons of machine vs wet sanded panels...
I plan to sand the whole car to 400 wet first, then prime it with filling primer, wet sand again to 800, then if all is well i will shoot the car with base/clear. if i see any problems i plan to correct them and then prime, 800W, and base/clear. After 2 weeks of curing, a nice buffing with fine should give me a mirror finish!
