After several years of buying new and used cars I was finally blessed with a Merkur XR4TI that I am extremely happy with. For its age, the car is in EXCELLENT condition with 96155 original miles and the interior does not have any rips. The previous owner bought the car with 30,000 miles and started a log book detailing every single change made. Furthermore, I can look back to see when the previous owner bought gas, how often, what type of gas, how much he paid and the miles. Additionally, the log book outlines oil changes, type of filters, drive train repairs, and high performance upgrades.
Since I am the third owner and this is a daily driver I plan to add my modifications closer to summer, (Ok so I lied a bit, the intake will be redone in a couple of weeks =)...) Next winter I plan to buy a Merkur Scorpio to turn into my winter car and park the XR4TI. Yada! Yada! Until I add additional modifications, I guess this is it, let me know what you think!

Shes dirty, and I am ready to put her to bed for the winter, but before I do, here are some pictures I snapped off before I begin the winter restoration.

Engine Mods this year include a Cold Air Intake, Turbo Coupe Intercooler and Boost Valve. The Turbo Coupe VAM is still in the garage waiting for the Mustang EEC to be bought, sometime this winter.
You will notice a fernco hose on the throttle body that is twisted all to hell, this needs to be replaced with a silicon hose, but I have decided to change out the entire intercooler setup to something front mounted.

Here is a concept I played with for 3 months, as you can see the hood scoop looks retarded and I have decided to go with a WRX scoop to force air into the engine compartment.
Since I am storing my XR for the winter I bought a 1992 Ford F-150 Nite 4X4 w/ 89,000 miles as my "beater", a $2500.00 investment. I have thought of repairing the rusted body, but I would rather stick the money in my XR, what do you guys think?
And, the owner.. here I am driving my XR..
