This is my '83 Firebird. It has been my on again-off again project car since I brought it back from Arkansas in 1994. Originally the car was black with a gray vinyl interior and a 2.8 V6 for power. Since then, just about everything except the body shell and left front fender has been replaced.
The car has been updated with '91 Formula bumpers, a Harwood cowl hood, 4th gen T/A style rear spoiler and '94 Corvette Admiral blue paint in DuPont base/clear. Wheels are by Boze Forged.
The original 2.8L V6 was replaced by a 383 small block. There is a TH350 behind it and I'm running a Moser 9-inch rearend. All the drivetrain details are on Page 7
The interior has a few custom touches- like a cupholder in the console and a nitrous bottle where the spare tire used to be. Interior is on Page 9 .
Did you notice the door handles? My flush Grand Prix door handle project is chronicled on Page 4
.
13" C4 Corvette brakes replace the stock 10.5" setup. Check out the suspension, brake and wheel upgrades on Page 8 .
ThirdGen Fest 2007 was my first showing of the newly-completed car. It rained all day, but it was still a successful outing. Check out Page 10
Wow, the spoiler looks tall from this angle. I was actually trying to capture the tire width, but there wasn't enough backlighting.
