I bought this Jeep in early November of 2004 for $1900, with only 82k miles.
After a month of driving, air began getting into the tranny. I bled it until I got sick of it, then I took it to the dealership to get a new clutch, master, and slave cylinder. (too cold out for me). After I got it back (weeks later; long story) I gave the interior a heavy duty cleaning. I bought a full-size spare and an original steel wheel, and mounted it in back. I changed oil to synthetic, changed plugs, wires, cap & rotor.
I recently bought a Rusty's airtube and put a K&N 6x9 on it. I knew that the filter was now prone to flying mud and water. So I figured that a sun shade from a windshield would work good because it would block heat as well as the water. I also put in a large SunPro tach out of our old Ford P/U.
In the near future I am going to buy a Rusty's 3" with full packs, and recovery Items. Not sure on tires yet, but I will get MT's.
I need a real passenger side wing window, because my current one is plexi-glass that I cut. If anyone knows where I can buy one, along with the molding, please tell me. *7/15/05: Some kids threw a rock at my window and missed (left a nice dent), they hit my window the second time and accomplished their goal of taking the few quarters I had. Too bad all they had to do was pull the door open.*
Exhaust is another thing I need. The current one is crap. The muffler is the size of an oil drum, and the cat is crap. I might get the rusty's exhaust with a flowmaster, but I think a crush bent system would be fine.
I got the windows tinted after I had poorly installed 20%, and was dissapointed that the stuff I got installed(15%), was lighter. Oh well.
