garage-toys's 1966 Chevrolet Caprice This is my '66 Caprice. It is a factory 396 car w/PS, PB, and factory air. The car is Tuxedo Black with a black vinyl top and black cloth & vinyl bench seat interior. It is a clean Arkansas car.

garage-toys's 1966 Chevrolet Caprice This is the 396. It's a basically stock 325HP engine with a couple mods. All the details are on the Engine/Drivetrain Page

garage-toys's 1966 Chevrolet Caprice The interior is basically stock, with some custom stereo gear like my fiberglass kick panels. Pictures are on the Interior Projects Page

garage-toys's 1966 Chevrolet Caprice The wheels on my '66 are 17" Cragar Forged S/S. I like them so much, they got their own page: Wheels/Tires Page

garage-toys's 1966 Chevrolet Caprice I took the Caprice on a couple of Hot Rod Power Tours. Pictures are on the Power Tour Page

Hi,I have had the link to this car as a favourite for a couple of years now and it is really a source of inspiration now when i have re-started my own project, a 1966 Impala, after owning it for 29 years.Questions:1: Are you using a cable from the TH700 to the speedometer, or are you using the electronic output from the tranny?2: Did you have any clearence problems between the crossmember and speedo output on the tranny?I am currently performing the same transformation on my car and are thinking about all kind of alternatives for the crossmember and your solution is quite nice and simple. My project can be followed on my blog: http://tomme.se/blogg/
