Hello I have a question and need some help. I just recently replaced my Mach 460 system with the following. Sony MP3 headunit w/ 10 disc MP3 changer, 6X8 Component Alpine Type R 300W for the fronts w/ tweeters and crossovers, and 6X8 pair Kicker Type KS 300W for the rear. I also added a Alpine V12 amp that is 4 channel 350 watts. I have assigned the channels in the following way; left door (6X8 and tweeter) to channel 1, right door to channel 2, left rear 6X8 to channel 3, and right reat rear to channel 4. The problem is that this new system sounds worst than my stock. There is hardly any bass coming from the rear 6X8 and the fronts sound very distorted at half the volume. I have lowered the gain on the amp and all it does is lower the volume. I have added more bass to the rear via the crossover built into the amp but all it does is lower the voices and put out slighly more punch but no long dragged bass lines. Please advise, I think that the installer may have have needed to run new speaker wires from the amp to the doors and he may have used the factory wires that connected the stock amps to the speakers in the doors. Could this cause this problem? Any suggestions are greatly appreciated. Thank you
