This thing has been an adventure! When i first got it, it had only 53,000 miles on it! But despite it's low mileage, it had a lot of problems.

The oil was not changed often enough so it produced filter clogging carbon deposits on everything! it cost $1000 to fix the many problems that arose after my oil pump clogged.

The exhaust was plugged up so bad w/ carbon (at one point) that one of my pre catylytic converters heated up enough to melt the paint off a section of the frame! i "fixed" this by paying Mieneke Muffler to tear off the original exhaust system and installing a 2.5" pipe with a dual duty cat and a 40 series Flowmaster muffler. low mellow rumble (like a stock V8 mustang) and great workmanship!

I began to replace old parts and the car is now equipped with...

- Accel ignition parts
- 2.5" Custom Exhaust w/ Flowmaster
- K&N filter
- BF Goodrich Control T/A M80 tires
- Sylvania "Cool Blue" headlights
- Aftermarket fog lamps
- High performance KYB shock absorbers
- Police duty rear springs
- Police duty rear swaybar
- Police duty 8.25" rear (2.94:1)
- Police duty 11" rear brakes

Update 4-23-04: Well, I bought a brand new '04 Neon R/T. check it out using "My New Car" link at the top of the page. I needed better gas milage and a manual trans. I will use the Fifth as a weekend show car once i fix up a few little things.

Update 12-13-04: The timing gear stripped (damn old lady really screwed this motor up). my dad is tired of messing with the 318 in this car... he will be replacing the motor soon. and on the drawing borads are plans for a 392 hemi. So this car COULD get a radicle makover soon.

I will update this page as time permits.
