Background:
Hey I'm Scott. I am 18, a freshman at Florida Institute of Technology (FIT), I and live in Savannah, Georgia. My dad bought me the truck on September 16, 2002; a few months before my 16th birthday, so I have had the truck for just over 3 years now; I just broke 25k miles on my trip down to college. The list of modifications above is the best way to describe what I have been doing over the last three years. I have also performed all of the installation (including audio equipment) and fabrication involved with that myself with some help from my dad (with the exception of the window tint, painting, and upholstery work which I felt needed to be done professionally). The hardest thing has been coming up with the money to make my dream for this truck a reality; my dad did buy the car, pays for insurance, and pays for half of my gas during the school year (because I take my brother to school), so I guess you could classify me as a spoiled rich kid for that; you are probably right. However, I am really grateful to have had this truck given to me and I have showed my parents my appreciation for this by keeping it in mint condition; no dings or scratches anywhere to be found, no accidents, no encounters with the police. Although I cant say that I bought the car with my own hard-earned money, I can say I have funded 100% of all aftermarket equipment and have saved thousands of dollars installing it all myself. My main source of income is car detailing. I had been washing my parent's cars for a few years when I turned 16 and had had a lot of practice at doing it and had developed my own techniques. When I got my license I started spreading my name around and before long I had my own car detailing business. It started off slow but over time I collected regular customers to provide me with a solid, dependable income. On the side, I have moved furniture, done yard work, and any other random job I could pick up to get a little extra cash. I make changes to the truck all the time depending on how much time I need to save up for the next modification, so check back later.
Future Plans:
Kenwood in-dash monitor and navigation (maybe headrest tv's)
MB Quart add-on midbass for the front component set
Kenwood Music keg or Phat Noise digital media player
a second Power Acoustik 2.4 Farad Capacitor
air suspension (probably with Chassis Tech)
custom fit 8" subs into the rear doors (either Audiobahn or MB Quart)
Complete Cascade sound dampening (doors, roof, firewall etc.)
Valentine One Radar Detector
considering customized two-tone paint job
Baer Brake System
KC HID Off-Road lights to replace the current ones
fiberglass the door panels and custom mount the speakers
maybe buy 2 12" subs (probably 1000 - 1200 watts RMS each) to replace the current one and make a nice sealed fiberglass encloser for them
Customized display for the Amplfiers
