(1-9-04) I ordered my pistons today. I got Speed Pro casted flat tops that are .060" over
(1-15-04) Today i got my pistons. Here are some pictures.
(2-21-04) I finally had time to work on my engine! ! ! Today I reconditioned and resized my rods. Next, I ballanced my rods and Pistons. The Pistons were fine, but the rods needed some work. Here are some Pictures!
The one on the left is a Picture before I resized the rods. The one on the right is me resizing the rods.
The picture on the left shows what the lightest rod is and the one on the right shows how much the heaviest one was. I had to grind down the tops of the big end to make them weigh the same.
Im ballancing the pin end of the rod after I resized them and ballanced the big end.
The other is the finished product of my rods! ! !
(2-23-04) Today my block was decked. Here are some Pictures.
(3-31-04)Last week my block was bored .060" over and then align honed! ! !

With the cam in, I then installed the high volume oil pump
(4-8-04)Today I finished the short block. Next week I am going to finish my heads and assemble the rest of the engine and put it in the car.
